Diversions

In an effort to give back and grow something good in my community, I joined the board of Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center in 2010. Oakland Digital is a non-profit organization with the mission to educate, inspire, and empower low-income communities to participate in the digital economy. I was elected board president in June 2011.

In September 2009, I became certified as a sustainability reporter by Global Reporting Initiative. GRI is a non-profit organization that has pioneered the development of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework.

In March 2009, I co-founded GreenerDM, a creative and print management agency focusing on sustainable marketing communications.

Sweet Marketing Group is a traffic aggregation and monetization service delivering highly qualified prospects to their partners. I worked with SMG to develop their product offering and identify new areas of growth in 2009.

I’m proud to have assisted Hunter Lovins, Gil Friend, Dwight Collins and the Presidio Graduate School as teaching assistant for their Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 courses: Principles of Sustainable Management and Implementation of Sustainable Business.
